Palm Tree Lights – Norwegian Cruise Lines
On the pool decks of several Norwegian Cruise Line cruise ships, these lamps in the shape of stylized palm trees, manufactured by Hahlbrock, create atmospheric lighting and a festive ambience.

A challenge in this project was balancing the design of the lamps with the requirement for easy luminaire replacement inside.
The Palm Tree Lights are designed in such a way that even tropical amounts of rain that fall into the funnel-like crown of the lamp are invisibly drained away through the interior of the lamp.
