AIDA Vita & AIDA Aura — Beach Area
Elaborately designed pools and beach areas have become important ingredients in the well-being and relaxation of passengers on modern cruise liners. Beach areas suggestive of dunes and sandy beaches add considerable appeal to a pool.

Hahlbrock was appointed to design the temporarily flooded surrounds to the main pool on board the sister ships AIDA Vita and AIDA Aura. The shape was created by building up a solid rigid foam material whose surface was shaped by hand and adapted to suit the deck. A hardwearing, mineral-surfaced GRP coating created a non-slip finish, even on inclined surfaces.
