Measurement of moulded parts
Measuring the accuracy of even very large composite moulded parts is becoming an ever more significant quality factor. At Hahlbrock this takes place in a CAD/CAM environment, backed up by the CNC machining centre which can be used like a coordinate measuring machine (CMM).

Instead of fitting a milling cutter to the milling spindle, a probe is inserted which traces the surface of the moulded part and automatically compiles a point-by-point log of the deviation between the CAD data model of the moulded part and the point on the surface as scanned.
This service is available at Hahlbrock, for example, for batches of moulded parts with high demands on their accuracy. Likewise, it is also possible to determine the 3D positions of defined connection points on moulded parts relative to each other.
The measuring range in the horizontal plane is max. 5000 x 2500 mm, in the vertical plane up to max. 1000 mm depending on the geometry of the moulded part.
